When the context in the society is changing from getting help to self-help, which means
that the older must take care of themself, it has a meaning of using the servile society.
Focus of this task is on the organization and its way of thinking about the future, how the
services the occupational professionals has to deliver, only has to be about the main
things such as care and nursing. The older must support themselves by rehabilitation.
Small benefits have to be delivering by network or volunteers. That is what we call the
servile society.
The frame for the public sector has in many years been provided by NPM, New Public
Management, but it´s now challenged by NPG, New Public Governance and its way of
solve the challenges for the future between actors and increased knowledge to create
added value.
The municipal resources are limited and so are the types of service, there is not always
compliance between what the citizen gets or need, because the social, emotional and
intellectual challenges not always can be provided by the public auspices.
An organization has the legitimacy in order true a general view and assumption of its acts
are right or appropriated within a social designed system.
The respondents all signify there are positive terms of trade, where the older citizen, the
relatives, the volunteers, the employees and the municipality all have benefits. There is
also a big wish about a social community build on common values. There have to be
cooperation between the professionals and volunteers, how the working community is
going to be established.
The feeling of being someone of value and create increased quality of life, have a deeper
meaning than “go for a walk”. “Go for a walk” is really a trivialized way of articulate this
working area and a simplified instrument.
The rhetoric seems to be trivialized, it´s really about something that goes deeper and are
more important for the individual humans. Therefore it is important to work with the dialog
and to create a synergy across the stakeholders both internally and extern. It requires a political management, and not just a management who exercise management, but who
really assume a leadership. A leadership who shows the way with desire and the ability to
have the citizens and the dialog in center will be the challenges for the future and the
answer in the welfare areas priority. |
